Becomes One of Few Lawyers in State of Florida to Hold Dual Certification
PALM BEACH, August 21, 2008 – LawFuel – Legal Announcement Service – Kaye Scholer LLP announced that Mark Brown, Counsel in the firm’s West Palm Beach office, has been board certified by the Florida Board of Legal Specialization and Education as a Wills, Trusts and Estates specialist. Mr. Brown is already board certified as a Tax specialist. According to the Florida Bar, only approximately 40 lawyers in the state of Florida have both of these certifications.
“I am honored to be one of a handful of Floridians to be board certified in both Taxation and Wills, Trusts and Estates,” said Brown. “These combined credentials will be a benefit to the firm’s clients and I look forward to serving them in an even greater capacity.”
Mr. Brown focuses his practice on complex estate and tax planning, including change of domicile, family limited partnerships, charitable giving, business succession, retirement assets, and preparation and audits of federal estate tax returns.
“We are delighted that Mark has earned this dual certification, a rarity among Florida lawyers,” said the Head of Kaye Scholer’s West Palm Beach office, Abraham Mora. “Mark’s drive for excellence in his field is representative of the commitment of his colleagues at Kaye Scholer to deliver results to our clients.”
Mr. Brown is a member of the Executive Council of the Tax Section of The Florida Bar (Assistant Director of Education Division and Vice-Chair of Estate and Gift Tax Committee), and a director of the Palm Beach Tax Institute. He frequently lectures and authors articles on probate and estate matters and is designated as a certified public accountant in Florida.
