LawFuel.com – Associated Press report that MySpace.com does not intend complying with requests from attorneys general from eight states to provide them with users of the website who are registered sex offenders.
MySpace.com say they will not – or cannot – comply due to privacy law requirements. A site spokesman said they had removed all the registered sex offenders they could find. The reports say an attorney who has represented MySpace, said the Electronic Communications Privacy Act requires subpoenas, court orders, or search warrants .
