LAWFUEL – Law News Network – Allen & Overy underlined the continued and growing demand from clients for it’s top flight real estate practice by announcing the appointment of Jean-Dominique Casalta as partner in its Paris office.
Jean-Dominique joins A&O from Freshfields where he was counsel. This follows the appointment of Arent van Wassenear as partner to our Amsterdam office from Norton Rose in February.
“The growth of our French practice has been a strategic imperative for some time and we are delighted to have someone of Jean-Dominique’s calibre to help us meet the growing demand from clients for French real estate advice. Jean-Dominique Casalta is a rising star who was appointed Counsel at Freshfields last year. His practice is currently a mix of stand alone activities including real estate, corporate (including shareholders’ agreements) and financial structuring of property transactions involving companies holding real estate assets and/or real estate, sale and lease back and outsourcing transactions, pan-European investment and financing (including the real estate aspects of securitisation), drafting and negotiation of leases and urban planning and environmental matters.
