LawFuel – Legal Newswire – The actor Paul Hogan, star of Crocodile Dundee, may have lost valuable financial and legal papers in a fire, in the midst of an Australian Crime Commission investigation into the affairs of a Swiss-based accountant.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that just minutes before 7pm on Wednesday, flames engulfed the fourth floor of the Kent Street office block that houses Hogan’s lawyers, Robinson Legal, as well as Mr Stewart’s office.
A number of Hogan’s companies, including Paul Hogan Enterprises and Rimfire Films, list their principal place of business on the same floor as the fire.
Robinson Legal is representing Mr Stewart and Hogan who have been fighting the Crime Commission through the Federal Court in an attempt to stop the commission using documents seized during a raid on Mr Stewart’s office.
According to court files, the documents relate to Hogan’s companies including Paul Hogan Enterprises, Lightning Ridge Films, Rimfire Films and Possum Creek Nominees, along with Mr Stewart’s companies including Stewart Property Trust and Silverstream Management.
