LAWFUEL – Press Release Service – General Dynamics recently completed its acquisition of Anteon International Corporation, a leading defense and intelligence technology services company. Jenner & Block represented General Dynamics in the $2.2 billion deal, which will allow the defense contractor to expand the informational technology services it can offer to its U.S. government customers.
Anteon combined with General Dynamics Network Systems business unit to form General Dynamics Information Technology, which will be headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia. The new organization will employ approximately 16,000 employees worldwide, and will provide information technology, systems engineering and professional services to customers in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, federal civil and commercial sectors.
General Dynamics, headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia, employs approximately 81,900 people worldwide. The company is a market leader in mission-critical information systems and technologies; land and expeditionary combat systems, armaments and munitions; shipbuilding and marine systems; and business aviation.
