LAWFUEL – The Law Jobs & Law News Wire – Actress Lindsay Lohan has been arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence after she lost control of her car and crashed it, RTE reports.
The 20-year-old could also face further charges after a substance suspected to be cocaine was later found in her car.
According to Sgt. Mike Foxen, Lohan was involved in a single-car traffic accident at about 5.30am on Saturday. She was admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Foxen confirmed that Lohan was arrested but was not taken into custody after police located her at a nearby hospital.
Foxen also confirmed that Lohan was given a citation and a court date, which was not revealed.
