LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Hammonds was one of five law firms shortlisted for the AIM Lawyer of the Year award at the Growth Company Awards 2007, which were held on April 25 in London.
The shortlists for the awards are compiled by Growth Company Investor magazine. It contacts the CEOs of all AIM-listed companies and researches their opinions on professional advisers, in categories ranging from law firm to broker. Those who made it to the shortlist achieved the highest approval ratings from the companies they act for.
Hammonds is legal adviser to 33 AIM-listed companies and acts for a number of Nomads and brokers. Last year the firm acted on a total of 27 transactions on AIM.
Editorial Director of Growth Company Investor, Leslie Copeland, said: “The approval ratings for legal advisers this year were particularly high, and so those who made it to the shortlist really represent the ‘crème de la crème’ of the lawyers serving the AIM community.”
