LAWFUEL – The Law Newswire – As of 1 May 2007, Mark Devereux, Kevin Munslow and David Stewart will become Olswang’s Senior Partner, Chief Executive and Managing Partner respectively.

Following a partnership vote, the team has been elected to manage Olswang for a term of three years. Mark and Kevin hold positions on the Management Team as part of the management triumvirate with Jonathan Goldstein, who is due to step down as Chief Executive at the end of this month. David has worked alongside Mark and Kevin as part of the wider management board since 2004. Together they will lead Olswang, with the support of the firm’s Group Heads, into a new period of growth and development.

Mark will continue in his role as Senior Partner, a position he has held since 1998 when the firm’s management triumvirate was implemented. Mark was a founding member of Olswang more than 25 years ago and has been instrumental in instilling the firm’s culture and building its reputation. This term, as Senior Partner, Mark will focus on external communications, partner performance and senior lateral hires as well as continue his successful practice in media.

Kevin takes on the role of Chief Executive, a natural extension of the Chief Operating Officer role he has held for the past eight years which has included full operational management of the firm. As Chief Executive, Kevin will chair Olswang’s Management Board and run the firm operationally and financially as well as providing commercial direction.

In the role of Managing Partner, David will focus on Olswang’s strategy, both in the UK and internationally. David has been the firm’s International Strategy Partner since 2004, and was key in establishing Olswang’s strategic alliance with US firm Greenberg Traurig LLP in 2005. He will chair a new Strategy Board which, together with the executive team and a small group of partners, will be tasked with developing the firm’s strategic aims over the coming years. He will continue to sit on the firm’s Management Board and will take responsibility, with Kevin and Mark, for the implementation of the firm’s strategy going forward. He will also continue to practice as a Commercial Disputes Partner.

Mark, Kevin and David will serve in these positions for the normal three year period.
