She joins the firm from Weston Benshoof in Los Angeles where she was Director of Regulatory Affairs. Bernhardt served as Los Angeles City Deputy Mayor in Mayor Richard J. Riordan’s administration.

Bernhardt has over 20 years of public service experience working in city, regional and state government capacities. She regularly assists clients on land use issues, development planning, governmental advocacy, environmental and legislative issues. Bernhardt is a former City of San Diego Council Member and prior to her position as Los Angeles City Deputy Mayor, she served as Chief of Staff to Los Angeles City Council Member Cindy Miscikowski.

Bernhardt is also a registered lobbyist before the City and County of Los Angeles and the State of California.
