Campbell as a partner to the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) practice in Washington, D.C. Campbell has extensive experience in complex patent matters that will further enhance Goodwin Procter’s practice in this area.
Last week, the firm announced the expansion of its IP practice with the addition of six partners, who along with Campbell, joined the firm from Hunton & Williams. Those new partners include: Thomas J. Scott, Jr., Scott L. Robertson, Jennifer A. Albert, Patrick A. Doody, David M. Young and Stephen T. Schreiner.

Christopher C. Campbell focuses his practice on intellectual property with particular emphasis on patent infringement litigation, client counseling, due diligence, licensing and transactional matters, patent prosecution and freedom to operate opinions. Campbell also has extensive experience in complex patent practice matters. Recently he represented the E-Z-GO division of Textron Inc. and obtained two preliminary injunctions against multiple defendants for trade dress and design patent infringement for golf cars.
Campbell has been repeatedly selected for inclusion in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business as a leading IP attorney. Additionally, he was recognized as a Virginia Super Lawyer by Law & Politics and Richmond magazine as a DC Super Lawyer (2007). He was also peer voted and profiled in Virginia Business’ annual Legal Elite as the top IP attorney in the Commonwealth of Virginia (2007).
Campbell has represented companies in IP counseling, including corporate IP audits and licensing.
