LAWFUEL- The Legal Newswire – The dispute over custody of Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter remains unresolved, following a Bahamian Court hearing on Friday.
Larry Birkhead, the model’s former boyfriend and Court-found father of seven-month-old Danielynn, is seeking custody of Danielynn with the prospect of pursuing the baby’s rights to a multi-million dollar fortune from another of Anna Nicole’s former partners.
The custody battle is between Birkhead and Virgie Arthur, Smith’s estranged mother. Anna Nicole Smith died suddenly from an accidental drug overdose on Febuary 8.
“I wish it was over today. It should have been over today,” said Howard K. Stern, who was Smith’s lawyer and companion and was listed as Dannielynn’s father on her birth certificate.
A lawyer in the case said the next hearing was scheduled for Wednesday.
