Leading law firm’s support will fund important LGBT civil rights initiatives

March 16, 2007 (Mountain View and San Francisco, CA) – LAWFUEL – American Law News – Fenwick & West LLP is pleased to announce a two-year financial commitment to Pride Law Fund—one of the oldest LGBT legal advocacy and education groups in the United States. The Fenwick & West sponsorship is one of the largest PLF has received since its inception over 20 years ago.

“This generous contribution enables PLF to commit to a number of initiatives we would not have been able to undertake without Fenwick’s support,” stated Angela Dalfen, co-chair of the PLF Board. “As an all-volunteer organization, financial contributions go directly to our advocacy and education efforts, including our post-graduate law fellowship program. This will have a tremendous impact. We hope Fenwick’s leadership will spark other organizations to follow suit.”

“We were impressed with the PLF accomplishments to date and realized an ongoing financial commitment could provide a significant boost to PLF’s ability to secure important advances in civil rights for the LGBT community, as well as people with HIV/AIDS,” stated Kate Fritz, Managing Partner at Fenwick & West. “We look forward to a long and successful partnership with PLF.”

In addition to the firm’s financial contribution, Daniel Brownstone, a senior associate in the Fenwick & West Intellectual Property Group, is a member of the PLF Board of Directors.
