(Nashville, TN) LAWFUEL – Adams and Reese is pleased to announce that Casey Del Casino, known throughout the entertainment industry as one of Nashville’s leading industry attorneys, will be joining the firm’s Music Row office effective July 1, 2008. Currently a partner at Waller Lansden Dortch and Davis, Del Casino previously spent nearly a decade as a music publisher in New York working with renowned artists such as ABBA, Quincy Jones and Todd Rundgren among others.
Of his decision to join Adams and Reese, Del Casino says, “Adams and Reese has a solid reputation for client service, and that is very important to me. They are an established player with a big presence on Music Row. Plus they have a regional footprint, enabling me to expand the services I can provide to clients in more ways and in more places.”

Del Casino, who joins the firm as Special Counsel, has extensive experience in handling intellectual property and copyright law matters for members of the entertainment industry including artists, record companies, songwriters, publishers, managers, producers and executives. Among his recent transactions of note are the handling and negotiation of sponsorship and endorsement agreements and for a leading sports equipment manufacturer; the negotiation of film production agreements for a reality television show; and the negotiation of lease agreements for the use of sound stages and underwater film tank for the film “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
Throughout his career, Del Casino has negotiated numerous agreements for the sale and purchase of publishing companies and catalogs, including the acquisition of a 50-percent interest in a European publishing company by a U.S. company, and the formation of a joint venture publishing company. He has negotiated the sale of entertainment-related entities, including the sale of a minority interest in a U.S. record company, and negotiated settlement agreements in copyright infringement actions against a major U.S. record company and a major animation video company. Del Casino also has negotiated agreements for the acquisition of life-story rights for several television motion pictures.

Del Casino earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1988 from Vanderbilt University School of Law where he was the recipient of the Nathan Burkan Memorial Competition Award. He also received the American Jurisprudence Award for Legal Problems in the Music Industry and was the recipient of the Outstanding Legal Research & Writing Project. In 1976, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from Ithaca College.
