Rob joined from Dutch corporate and competition law boutique Van Wylick & Ludding on 15 February 2008. Rob has practised European law for over 33 years, focussing on competition, energy and IP law. He has extensive experience dealing with regulations and enforcement from both a business and a government perspective. Rob worked in-house for Shell, where he advised on international competition law and was based in The Hague and London. He also regularly acted for the Dutch Competition Authority from its inception in 1998 until 2006. Commenting on his appointment, Rob said: "I am very excited about joining DLA Piper.
