Lindahl Gross Lievois Now Offers Network of More Than 100 Attorneys

DETROIT, Jan. 11 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network — The law firm of Lindahl Gross Lievois (LGL) announces that it has been acquired by McDonald Hopkins Co., LPA – a full-service business law firm headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. Lindahl
Gross Lievois will maintain its current practices at it existing offices in
Bingham Farms, Mich., under the new McDonald Hopkins name, effective
immediately.

LGL will be included in McDonald Hopkins’ base of more than 100 business-
attorneys, with office locations in Cleveland, Ohio; Columbus, Ohio; and West
Palm Beach, Fla. The Detroit office will now be part of a full-service firm
that offers business restructuring, litigation, and business law, including
intellectual property, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, health law,
employment and labor, estate planning, and tax.

“With the backing of a large, multi-practice firm, such as McDonald
Hopkins, we will be able to grow in strategic areas, while providing existing
clients with a greater depth of service,” said Stephen Gross, shareholder and
Detroit office managing shareholder. “We considered several other mergers,
and McDonald Hopkins was the best fit.”

LGL was formed by Tom Lindahl and Steve Gross in 1988 to meet the legal
needs of businesses, especially those experiencing financial distress. Over
the years, LGL has grown with its clients as they successfully restructured
and flourished. With six attorneys, LGL focuses its practices on corporate
law, restructuring business transactions and commercial matters. It has
continuously attracted new business clients, as well as assisting clients in
dealing with ever more complicated restructurings.

For the 80-year-old McDonald Hopkins firm, the acquisition represents a
strategic advancement to provide legal business services in the Greater
Detroit area. McDonald Hopkins President Joe LoPresti says, “Detroit is an
important market for us, and Lindahl Gross Lievois fits our culture well.”

In the past five years, McDonald Hopkins has more than doubled its
attorney base and opened up offices in Columbus, Ohio, and West Palm Beach,
Fla. In addition to Gross, five other LGL attorneys will merge into McDonald
Hopkins.

McDonald Hopkins, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, is a full-service
business law firm with more than 116 attorneys with offices in Cleveland,
Ohio; Columbus, Ohio; West Palm Beach, Florida; and Detroit, Michigan.
