Litigation Partner Joins Baker & McKenzie’s Houston Office

LITIGATION PARTNER JOINS BAKER & MCKENZIE LLP’S HOUSTON OFFICE

Houston, TX, June 9, 2008 (LAWFUEL) – Baker & McKenzie LLP is pleased to announce that David Chaumette has joined the Firm’s Houston office as a Partner in its regional and global Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Chaumette joins from Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP.

He is a well-respected and highly effective litigator,” said Kerry Blair, Chair of the Houston office Litigation Group. “His addition to our Litigation practice complements an already established practice and will further its successes here and globally.”

Mr. Chaumette has tried cases and prosecuted appeals across Texas and the United States. His trials have involved oil and gas, securities, software licensing, and real estate disputes. He also has extensively published on electronic discovery issues, including the management of electronic information in corporations. Mr. Chaumette received his J.D. degree from the University of Chicago Law School, his M.S. degree from Stanford University (Aeronautics/Astronautics), and his B.S.E., cum laude, from Princeton University.

Mr. Chaumette is a member of the American Law Institute and the Litigation Counsel of America and has been previously named “Texas Rising Star” by Law & Politics Magazine.
