Littler Adds Senior Counsel in Portland

PORTLAND, Oregon (January 7, 2026) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Michael McClory as senior counsel in its Portland office. McClory joins from the firm Cable Huston and brings more than 35 years advising employers on complex employment and labor law matters.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mike to Littler and our Portland team,” said Heather M. Vigil, Portland office managing shareholder. “His deep experience sits squarely at the intersection of strategy, compliance and litigation risk – an area where employers are facing unprecedented scrutiny. Mike’s command of the FMLA, ADA and multistate leave and accommodation laws enables him to help our clients anticipate issues before they arise, build effective compliance programs and navigate the range of complex workplace challenges. His arrival further strengthens our ability to support clients as they adapt to a rapidly evolving regulatory environment.”

McClory advises on a wide range of employment law matters, including disability accommodations, performance management, workplace disputes, contracts and Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) compliance. He has successfully litigated matters in federal and state courts across multiple jurisdictions, securing summary judgments and appellate wins. McClory also represents employers before federal and state enforcement agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Department of Labor, OFCCP, Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, and civil rights commissions in California and Washington.

“I’m excited to join Littler’s Portland office and provide clients with the guidance needed on their most challenging employment issues,” McClory said. “Leave management is an area where legal requirements and practical realities often collide, and I look forward to helping employers create frameworks that not only meet compliance obligations but also strengthen business performance.”

In addition to his legal practice, McClory has served as Board President of the Oregon and Southwest Washington Industry Liaison Group, which supports employer education and collaboration around affirmative action and the EEOC. He previously served eight years on the Board of Directors for the Northwest Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Association. From 2001 to 2015, McClory led Bullard Law’s participation in the Oregon Lawyers Against Hunger Annual Drive, benefiting the Oregon Food Bank.

McClory is a “Double Domer.” He earned his J.D. from Notre Dame Law School and his B.A. (in English) from the University of Notre Dame.
