He also joins the firm’s Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Industry Team. Needleman, who will be resident in the firm’s New York office, was previously a partner with Gibbons, P.C. and Greenberg Traurig, LLP.
Needleman’s practice focuses on all aspects of patent litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels with particular emphasis on patent cases involving pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnology matters including significant experience with Hatch-Waxman litigation. He also has substantial experience with patent cases involving the electrical and mechanical arts. In addition to litigation, Needleman regularly advises clients on the issues of infringement, validity and enforceability of patents, and he has extensive experience in the analysis and assessment of patent damages and remedies.
Needleman is a registered patent attorney with experience handling matters before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, including patent interferences before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences, and has represented clients in patent disputes before the United States International Trade Commission.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Needleman worked as a research scientist at Schering-Plough and as a research technician in the Biochemistry Department at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He earned his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and his B.S. with Highest Honors from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.
