London, 15 November 2004 - LAWFUEL - Law, legal, attorney, law firm news - Baker & McKenzie announced that it acted for McCormick & Company, Incorporated ('McCormick') in connection with the acquisition of the C.M. van Sillevoldt B.V ('C.M. van Sillevoldt') group for e58 million. McCormick is the global leader in the manufacture, marketing and distribution of spices, seasonings and flavours to the food industry. Customers range from retail outlets and food service providers to food processing businesses. Founded in 1889, McCormick is headquartered in Maryland, U.S. C.M. van Sillevoldt, based in the Netherlands, sells spices, herbs and seasonings under the Silvo brand in the Netherlands and the India brand in Belgium. The Baker & McKenzie team was led by Gabriel Fisher (Partner) in the London office and Jeroen Hoekstra (Partner) in the Amsterdam office, assisted by Nick Edwards (Associate) in London, Florestan van 't Hek (Associate) in Amsterdam and Diederik van Lede (Associate) in Belgium. Nauta Dutilh acted for the seller.
