London, August 6, 2007, 2007 – LAWFUEL – The Law Firm Newswire – Dewey Ballantine, a global law firm, announced today that Peter Magyar, a leading capital markets partner, will join the firm as a partner in its London office. Mr. Magyar, who will be Dewey Ballantine’s European head of capital markets, brings the number of European partners in the debt and equity capital markets group to 27. He joins Dewey Ballantine from the London office of Baker & McKenzie, where he was previously head of its European capital markets practice. Mr. Magyar is the office’s fourth lateral partner addition in the past three months, following the recent arrivals of partners Carlo Kostka, Lee Parker and Alastair Crawford.
Mr. Magyar’s practice has a particular focus on the CIS, CEE and emerging European economies. Most recently, he has advised on Ferrexpo plc’s $2 billion IPO, the first Ukrainian company to achieve a full listing on the main market of the London Stock Exchange, among other ground-breaking deals.
