LONDON, Dec. 6 2004 – LAWFUEL – First with law firm, lawyer, attorney news — Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Alan Bannister has joined the firm’s London office as partner. Formerly a partner in the London office of Clifford Chance, Bannister will continue his London-based U.S. securities practice with a focus on cross-border capital markets transactions.

Bannister is the latest addition to the firm’s European offices. This
year, antitrust partners James Ashe-Taylor and David Wood joined in the London
and Brussels offices, tax partner Hans Martin Schmid joined in Munich, and
corporate partner Nicolas Baverez joined in Paris.

Bannister concentrates his practice on U.S. securities law advice, acting
for underwriters and European issuers in high yield and equity and other
securities offerings, including US public offerings, Rule 144A offerings,
other private placements and Regulation S offerings, as well as shareholder
rights offerings, spin-offs and general corporate transactions.
