LOS ANGELES – December 19, 2005 – Holland & Knight LLP is pleased to announce that 28 attorneys in the firm were recently elected to the partnership for 2006, according to Howell W. Melton, Jr., the firm’s managing partner. Two associates and one senior counsel from the firm’s Los Angeles office were elevated to partner status. They include:
Nelson Handy, a member of the firm’s Private Wealth Services Section, specializes his practice in the area of estate planning, trust and probate law. He received his B.S. in 1987 from California State University Northridge and his J.D. from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles in 1990.
Sean Higgins, a member of the firm’s Private Wealth Services Section, is experienced in complex trust, estate and conservatorship litigation, trust and estate administration, and estate planning. He received his B.A. from California State University at Long Beach in 1991 and his J.D. in 1997 from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles.
Adam Ritter, a member of the firm’s Business Section, practices international business and corporate law. He is fluent in Mandarin, Chinese, which he regularly uses in practice. He earned his B.A. from the University of California at Berkley in 1988, his M.B.A. from the University of California Anderson Graduate School of Management in 1994, and his J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law in 1994.
