LOS ANGELES–LAWFUEL – US Law News –Ezer Williamson & Brown LLP, a Los Angeles (Century City), CA-based law firm which specializes in real estate and business law and litigation, has announced a reorientation of the firm’s practice to meet the changing needs of its client base and business operation. As part of the planned changes, effective with the new year, the firm has changed its name to Ezer & Williamson, LLP.

Ezer & Williamson, which has served the Southern California real estate industry and business community for more than four decades, traces its roots to the law firm of Rich & Ezer which was founded in 1964. Throughout the years, the firm has specialized in the representation of entrepreneurs, small and medium size businesses and partnerships.

According to Richard E. Williamson, Managing Partner of the firm, as part of the reorientation, L. Douglas Brown will continue as Of Counsel to the firm. He also reported that Mitchel J. Ezer continues with the firm in his capacity as a Senior Partner and will concentrate his practice in general real estate and commercial litigation with an emphasis in foreclosure litigation.

Williamson stressed that the reorientation – and especially the shift in emphasis in the practice areas it will concentrate on in the future – was necessitated by changes taking place in the real estate industry and business world as well as the changing needs and request for services from firm clients.

Legal practice areas targeted for more focus by the firm in the future, Williamson noted, will include: real property and business asset acquisition and sale; commercial lease preparation, negotiation and review; entity formation; specific performance (defense and prosecution) of real property purchase agreements; general real estate litigation, including landlord-tenant litigation, partition, easement, boundary and title and title insurance disputes; foreclosure litigation; quiet title actions; general business litigation, including contract and partnership disputes; and construction litigation.

Williamson reported that the firm has also revised and expanded its website (www.ezerwilliamson.com), including the addition of a resources section, to reflect the firm’s new focus relating to its legal practice areas.
