Major development to both firms’ international networks
23 January 2006 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – International law firm Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP and leading Italian law firm Studio Legale Tonucci are delighted to announce that they have entered into an alliance to ensure clients have access to top-tier legal services in key geographic business centres. This alliance establishes formalised cooperation, client development and referral arrangements between the two firms.
Studio Legale Tonucci has over 200 lawyers across its offices in Italy and Eastern Europe, serving clients across the continent.
There are a number of synergies between the two firms in terms of both legal advice provided and the clients with which the two law firms work. Areas of particular commonality for the two parties are large scale M&A activity in the banking and financial sector, as well as other corporate and commercial work, securitisation and structured finance advice and privatisation and other public financing work.
Both firms are well respected for their insurance and reinsurance practice and their advice in the employment, energy, competition and antitrust, intellectual property, real estate, tax and technology sectors. Together these will provide a strong platform for the ongoing cross-referral of work and joint business development initiatives and enable the two firms to work closely together across all areas of legal advice to clients.
Studio Legale Tonucci was recognised recently through its receipt of Rome’s “European Personality 2005” award for its accomplishments in the legal sector.
