Mayer Brown adds to leveraged finance team with appointment of Stuart Brinkworth  

London, 18 June 2018 – Stuart Brinkworth has today joined Mayer Brown as a partner in the Banking & Finance practice in London. He will head the European Leveraged Finance team. Stuart, a leveraged finance lawyer with considerable cross-border experience, was formerly the London head of finance at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP.

Stuart acts for UK and international lenders, sponsors and bidding consortia on a variety of leveraged finance transactions, particularly private equity-backed leveraged buy-outs, management buy-outs and buy-ins, public bids, corporate financing and fund finance. In addition, he has broad sector experience covering financial services, real estate, media, sports, business services, leisure, retail and healthcare.  Stuart’s practice also includes funds finance and he has been closely involved in the development of unitranche as a funding source in the European market.
