Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP partner Barry Machlin will chair the Center for Business Intelligence’s 7th Annual Mexican Energy conference, October 27-28, 2003 in Houston. The conference will feature key Mexican government and company executives as well as 23 industry leaders who will discuss opportunities, regulations and financing of energy projects in Mexico.
The conference will also focus on recent energy case studies, developments in electric transmission, gas sector opportunities including E&P, pipeline and LNG terminal development, and recent developments in the renewable energy sector.
Barry N. Machlin is a partner and Co-Chair of the Global Project Finance Group of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw and member of the firm’s Latin American and Renewable Energy Practice Groups. Mr. Machlin represents international banks and financial institutions, multilaterals and export credit agencies in infrastructure investment transactions. His Mexican energy sector experience includes the $435 million Bajío Power Project, the San Fernando Pipeline Project cited by Project Finance magazine as “2003 Latin America Oil and Gas Deal of the Year,” and he is currently representing U.S. Ex-Im Bank in the $590 million Altamira III/IV Power Project.
