REJOINS FIRM’S WINSTON-SALEM OFFICE

WINSTON-SALEM (JULY 14) – Kilpatrick Stockton LLP announced today the addition of C. Edward Teague, III, as associate to the firm’s Financial Transactions, Real Estate & Restructuring Department in the Winston-Salem office. Mr. Teague rejoins the firm after practicing briefly for Nelson Mullins in Winston-Salem. Upon resuming his position with Kilpatrick Stockton, Mr. Teague will once again represent clients in all real estate matters including purchasers and sellers of commercial real estate.

Mr. Teague has extensive experience in small business ownership and management, including marketing, site acquisition, financial organization, strategic planning, and administration. Additionally, he co-founded a successful retail business that had 11 stores in the Carolinas by the time he entered law school in 1998. From 2002-03, Mr. Teague served as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge William L. Osteen of the Middle District of North Carolina.

In 2002, Mr. Teague earned a Juris Doctor from the Wake Forest University School of Law, where he was awarded the Glenn Tucker Merit Scholarship. In 2001, he served as an Executive Editor of the Wake Forest Intellectual Property Law Association Journal and interned with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of North Carolina. A member of the Student Trial Bar and the Chief Justice Joseph Branch American Inn of Court, Mr. Teague received numerous CALI Awards for academic excellence. A joint degree participant, Mr. Teague also earned a Master of Business Administration from the Babock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University. In 1995, he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Mr. Teague is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, and is admitted to practice before the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, the North Carolina Bar Association and the Forsyth County Bar Association.
