New York, April 12, 2004 — Corporate attorney Gary R. Silverman, recently a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, has joined Kaye Scholer LLP (www.kayescholer.com) as a partner and head of the firm’s Private Equity Practice in Chicago. At Kaye Scholer, he will continue to focus on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and venture capital and private equity transactions.
Mr. Silverman, who will maintain offices in both Chicago and New York, has managed a variety of different transactions, including numerous leveraged buyouts, venture capital and private equity transactions for Starwood Capital Group, LLC; Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc.; JD Holdings, LLC; Thoma Cressey Equity Partners; ABN AMRO Private Equity; Falconhead Capital LP; Goense Bounds & Partners, Starvest Partners; William Blair Capital Partners; Allstate Private Equity; Dakota Capital Partners; and others.
