Michael Anglin, who joined the Global Finance Department, concentrates his practice in real estate finance, acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing. He represents investment and commercial banks, developers and other owners, investors, government agencies, corporate tenants, and others in connection with mezzanine and mortgage financing, ground leasing, space leasing, financing and structuring of limited liability companies and partnerships, buying and selling real estate, and the restructuring of debt facilities. He received his J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California at Berkeley, in 1985 where he was named to the Order of the Coif. He earned his B.A. from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1981, receiving a citation for outstanding academic performance. Mr. Anglin was previously a partner at Nixon Peabody LLP and counsel with Alter Mantel, LLP.
Christopher Mirick, who joined the Financial Restructuring Department, practices in the areas of business reorganizations and debtors’ and creditors’ rights. He represents debtors, creditors, acquirers, landlords, and equity holders across a wide array of industries. In 2005 and 2006, he was named one of the “Massachusetts Rising Stars” by Law & Politics and Boston Magazine. He served as the co-chair of the Bankruptcy Law Section of the Boston Bar Association from 2004-2006, and in 2003, he received a special achievement award from the Bankruptcy Law Section in recognition of his pro bono efforts.
Mr. Mirick is the co-author with Professor Lynn M. LoPucki of UCLA Law School of Strategies For Creditors In Bankruptcy Proceedings (Aspen Publishers, 5th Ed., 2006). He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Amherst College and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School. He previously practiced at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.
Gary Ticoll, also a new addition to the Financial Restructuring Department, represents debtors, individual creditors, and other parties in all aspects of chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and out-of-court financial restructurings. His representations include clients in a wide variety of industries and in multijurisdictional and cross-border matters. He received his B.S., M.S., LL.B. and B.C.L. from McGill University, ranking first in his class in the LL.B. and B.C.L. programs. He previously practiced at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.
