Rinker will become partners of the firm, effective July 1, 2007. Mr. Dutton is resident in the firm’s Paris office, and Mr. Hamid, Mr. Levitsky, Mr. Mahmoudov and Mr. Rinker are resident in the New York office.
Drew Dutton, based in the firm’s Paris office, is a member of the firm’s Corporate Department. His practice focuses on public and private mergers and acquisitions, as well as capital markets transactions. Mr. Dutton joined Debevoise in New York in 1999 and has been principally based in the firm’s Frankfurt and Paris offices since 2001. He received his LL.B. in 1996 from McGill University, his DESS in the Law of Computers and New Technology in 1997 from the Université de Paris XI and his A.B. in East Asian Studies in 1992 from Harvard College.
Jyotin Hamid, based in the firm’s New York office, is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. His practice focuses on general commercial litigation, employment litigation and intellectual property. Mr. Hamid joined Debevoise in 1998. He received his J.D. in 1998 from Yale Law School, where he was a member of the Journal of International Law, and his B.A., summa cum laude, in Political Science and Psychology in 1995 from Tulane University, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Jonathan E. Levitsky, based in the firm’s New York office, is a member of the firm’s Corporate Department. His practice focuses primarily on public and private mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, often with a cross-border component. Prior to joining Debevoise in 2001, Mr. Levitsky served as Counselor to Ambassador Richard C. Holbrooke at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, and as a Member of the State Department’s Policy Planning Staff. He served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable John Paul Stevens of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1996-1997 and to the Honorable Pierre N. Leval of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit from 1995-1996. Mr. Levitsky received his J.D. in 1995 from Yale Law School, where he was a member of the Yale Law Journal, his M.Phil. in Politics in 1992 from Oxford University, where he was a Marshall Scholar, and his A.B., magna cum laude, in Public Policy in 1990 from Brown University.
Vadim Mahmoudov, based in the firm’s New York office, is a member of the firm’s Tax Department. His practice concentrates on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcies and restructurings, and private equity fund formation. Mr. Mahmoudov joined Debevoise in 1999. He received his J.D., cum laude, in 1999 and his LL.M. in Taxation in 2002 from New York University School of Law, and his B.S., cum laude, in International Finance and Commerce in 1993 from Georgetown University.
Kevin A. Rinker, based in the firm’s New York office, is a member of the firm’s Corporate Department. His practice focuses on the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate finance. Mr. Rinker joined Debevoise in 2000. He received his J.D. in 1999 from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was on the editorial board of The Tax Lawyer and served as a Teaching Fellow in the LL.M. program, and his B.A. in 1994 from Tufts University.
