November 18, 2004 – LAWFUEL – Banking law, law, law firm, legal news – Davis Polk & Wardwell advised the underwriters on an SEC-registered offering by BellSouth Corporation of three tranches of notes in aggregate principal amount of $2 billion. The three tranches consisted of $500 million of floating-rate notes due 2007, $800 million of 4.75-percent notes due 2012 and $700 million of 6.0-percent notes due 2034. We advised J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. and Lehman Brothers Inc. as joint bookrunners on all series of notes and Goldman, Sachs & Co. as a joint bookrunner on the 2012 notes and Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated as a joint bookrunner on the 2034 notes.
