Christopher B. Younger has joined the firm as an associate in the
Business & Tax Group. Mr. Younger focuses his legal practice on business
and private aircraft transactions as well as issues relating to federal
and state taxation and regulation of business and private aircraft
ownership and operations. His practice also encompasses general business
planning and implementation strategies, including choice of entity and
ownership structures, structuring and negotiating mergers, acquisitions
and reorganizations of business entities; tax-free exchanges; and
general business and commercial real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Ober|Kaler, Mr. Younger was an associate at the
Washington, D.C. firm Galland, Kharasch, Greenberg, Fellman & Swirsky,
P.C. in the Business Aviation, Tax, and Corporate departments. Before
that, he was an associate in the Tax, Corporate and Real Estate groups
at Hodes Ullman, Pessin & Katz. Prior to entering private practice, Mr.
Younger served as Legislative Counsel for the Maryland General Assembly
and clerked for the Honorable Kathleen O’Ferrall Friedman of Baltimore
City Circuit Court.
Mr. Younger is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the
American Bar Association’s Section on Taxation. He is a founding board
member and CFO of Earth & Art, Inc., a Section 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization dedicated to providing individuals with environmental
educational opportunities using artistic media and other contributions
by artists interested in environmental issues.
Mr. Younger earned his B.A. from Mount Saint Mary’s University in 1990,
his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in 1997, and his LL.M. in
Taxation from New York University School of Law in 2003.
He is a resident of Jefferson, Maryland.
