On January 19, 2006 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Cravath partner John W. White will chair a 2-hour panel discussion on “Accounting and Auditing Developments” at the 33nd Annual Securities Regulation Institute. The Institute is presented by the Corporate Counsel Center of Northwestern University School of Law and is one of the two leading annual conferences on securities regulation in the country. John is also presently serving as the Vice Chairman of the Institute.
John’s panel at this year’s Institute will examine a wide range of topics including revenue recognition, restatements and FAS 154, stock option expensing under FAS 123R, international convergence of accounting standards, Section 404 and internal control over financial reporting, the new auditing standard for the remediation of a material weakness, various other PCAOB matters, the recent AICPA white papers, and the changing relationships among auditors, management, audit committees and others.
