SEATTLE, Wash. (January 2, 2019) – Perkins Coie has announced that four attorneys have been promoted to Senior Counsel, effective January 1, 2019. Senior Counsel have at least eight years of experience, are recognized for delivering high-quality legal work, and have the ability to supervise junior lawyers and staff and collaborate with partners on the development and management of client matters.

Bryan D. Beel (Portland) is a member of Perkins Coie’s Patent Litigation practice. Bryan represents companies from a variety of disciplines in patent litigation matters, inter partes review (IPR) proceedings, and patent and trademark prosecution, with a strong focus on representing pharmaceutical companies in Hatch-Waxman litigation. In his career, he has extended his work beyond federal district court litigation and has challenged pharmaceutical patents in IPR proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, including one of the first successful proceedings in this area.
Kristine E. Kruger (Seattle) is a member of Perkins Coie’s Litigation practice. Her practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on food litigation, class action defense, complex product liability, toxic tort litigation and consumer finance litigation. Kristine has represented a range of clients in high-priority cases involving consumer protection, unfair competition, breach of contract, negligence, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and California’s Proposition 65.
David Lassen (Seattle) is a member of Perkins Coie’s Product Liability practice. David defends product liability claims in both U.S. and international courts, including arbitration proceedings and foreign civil litigation. He has worked on cases involving commercial satellites, civil and military aircraft and helicopters, aeronautical charts, transit buses and home appliances.
Philip A. Morin (San Diego) is a member of Perkins Coie’s Patent Litigation practice. Philip litigates complex patent disputes for innovative companies in such technologies as semiconductor processing and device fabrication, wireless communication devices, media streaming, electronics and gaming. He also has experience and is active in post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent Office, including IPR proceedings.
