Philadelphia, Pa. – August 8, 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Pepper Hamilton LLP announced that Gay Parks Rainville, an experienced litigator who started her legal career with Pepper, has rejoined the firm as a partner in the Philadelphia office. She concentrates her practice in complex commercial litigation, including securities and antitrust matters.

Ms. Rainville was a partner with Pepper until July 2004, when she joined The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as associate general counsel.

“Gay is an exceptional attorney, and we’re delighted to welcome her back to the firm,” said Robert E. Heideck, Pepper’s executive partner. “She has terrific depth in a number of litigation areas, and her experience includes assisting clients in a cross section of industries.”

“My tenure as in-house counsel with CHOP was extremely rewarding and has broadened my understanding of how best to deal with litigation from the client’s perspective,” said Ms. Rainville. “I very much look forward to resuming practice with my long-time colleagues at Pepper.”

Ms. Rainville has handled a range of litigation, including federal securities class action, shareholder derivative and hostile takeover cases. She also has handled cases involving antitrust, commercial tort, contract, patent, product liability, professional liability, wrongful death and personal injury matters.

She has worked with clients from myriad industries, including the biotechnology, chemical, computer, consumer products, financial, health care, industrial machinery, insurance, medical device, pharmaceutical and transportation industries.

Ms. Rainville received a B.A. from Denison University in 1977, an M.A.T. from Northwestern University in 1978, and a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 1988. Before her legal career, she taught high school English for six years and studied, taught and performed modern dance for eight years. She is a member of the Pennsylvania bar.
