PHOENIX – LAWFUEL – Law News Network – David Camacho, 22, was sentenced in Federal Court on July 31, 2006, to 210
months of confinement by the Honorable Roslyn O. Silver, for his participation in a large “ice” methamphetamine conspiracy. Camacho was involved in the sale of approximately 6 pounds of “ice”
methamphetamine. Camacho conspired with co-defendants Ramon Duarte-Cardenas, Manuel Ozoro- Carrillo and his brother Daniel Camacho to deliver 6 pounds of methamphetamine, with a street value
of $70,000.00. Once all of the defendants arrived at the prearranged meeting location, law enforcement attempted to arrest all parties. The defendants fled but were subsequently apprehended.
In addition to the methamphetamine, two loaded handguns were also seized from the defendants. Codefendants Daniel Camacho, 20 and Manuel Ozoro-Carillo, 31, were each sentenced on June 26,
2006, to 97 months of confinement. Co-defendant Duarte-Cardenas is awaiting sentencing.
The investigation was conducted by the Phoenix Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration. The prosecution was handled by Steven P. Logan, Assistant U.S. Attorney, District of
Arizona, Phoenix.
