Edward Sell Chapter of the American Inns of Court (formerly known as the University of Pittsburgh Chapter) for a two-year term. The chapter’s 80 members include members of the judiciary, the Dean of the University of Pittsburgh Law School, and several prominent Pittsburgh attorneys.
W. Scott Hardy is a Director in Cohen & Grigsby’s Labor and Employment and Employment Litigation Groups. He has counseled and defended clients in a broad array of industries including healthcare institutions, public and private colleges and universities, financial institutions, professional services firms, manufacturing firms, retail companies, transportation and materials management companies, public authorities and commissions, and local municipalities. Mr. Hardy co-chairs the Firm’s Recruiting and Associate Development Committee. Mr. Hardy earned his B.A. in Economics and Political Science (magna cum laude) from Allegheny College in 1993 and his J.D. from Notre Dame Law School in 1996. He is admitted to the bars of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Pennsylvania, Allegheny County, and Federal Bar Associations and the American Healthcare Lawyers Association. In addition to his capacity as President of the American Inns of Court, W. Edward Sell Chapter (Pittsburgh), Mr. Hardy serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Good Samaritan Hospice of Pittsburgh and is a member of the Membership Standards Committee of the Greater Pittsburgh Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
