Conn has been elected as the firm’s new managing partner, effective July 20, 2007. Mr. Conn succeeds former managing partner Douglas E. Gilbert, who has held the position since May 1995. Mr. Gilbert will remain as a partner with the firm.
Mr. Conn is currently the group chairperson of Thorp Reed’s Financial Institutions and Real Estate Transactions Practice Group. He has been with the firm since 1989, during which time the group has grown to be recognized as one of the leading teams of attorneys in this practice area. As managing partner, Mr. Conn is responsible for overseeing the management of the firm on a day-to-day basis in addition to leading its strategic initiatives.
