Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) has announced the release of its CATV analyzer for both digital and analog TV transmission networks. It is commonly used to test analog TV indexes and channels, digital channel power, analog TV images, digital TV QAM modulation channel power, and MER and BER modulation using special circuitry. This analyzer is also suitable for digital and analog mixed network testing and two-way network construction and transformation. It is a perfect tool for troubleshooting network problems and monitoring potential network security attacks.
This compact CATV analyzer, model 883B, operates over a wide frequency range of 5MHz to 870MHz at an accuracy of ±10ppm. In analog level testing mode it tests CW, AM and FM signals; while in digital power testing mode, the CATV analyzer deals with QPSK, QAM, COMDF and random waveform signals. The rugged analyzer is equipped with a high-contrast, backlit LCD screen and boasts high interference immunity to ensure that TV images are displayed at the best graphic quality. It provides accurate analysis of QAM index including channel power, MER and BER and it can be easily connected to a computer or printer via data cable. It also provides various RBW for auto selection such as 100kHz, 300kHz, 8kHz. In addition, this smart analyzer is able to operate continuously for more than 6 hours on a single charge.
