Chicago Law Growth With Porter Wright Hires

Porter Wright Morris & Arthur is expanding its Chicago firm with the recruitment of four lawyers from litigation law firm Scandaglia Law, including the boutique’s founder Greg Scandaglia (pictured). The growth in Chicago has been the most of the firm’s offices in the US which resulted form the merger in 2019 with Butler Rubin Saltarelli & Boyd LLP.

Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP is pleased to announce that four attorneys from the Chicago-based litigation boutique Scandaglia Law LLP have joined the firm, significantly enhancing the firm’s capabilities in complex commercial litigation, antitrust and competition law, hospitality law and intellectual property. The group will be based in Porter Wright’s Chicago office and includes litigators with experience in high-stakes disputes across a wide range of industries.

This group’s addition marks a major milestone in Porter Wright’s strategic growth in Chicago, the firm’s fastest-growing office since entering the market in 2019 through a merger with Butler Rubin Saltarelli & Boyd LLP.

The group includes:

  • Greg Scandaglia, who founded and previously led his own firm, Scandaglia Law, for more than 20 years is bringing his team to Porter Wright. Greg began his career as a prosecutor in the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice and was a partner at a large international law firm before co-founding his own firm. During his career, Greg has served as lead trial counsel in high-stakes and high-profile civil trials, criminal prosecutions, and appeals. His practice spans commercial litigation, white collar criminal defense, antitrust law and more.
  • Therese L. Tully, an attorney with over 25 years of experience is known for her strategic approach, creative problem-solving and commitment to client advocacy in complex commercial litigation. She counsels clients in areas such as hospitality, real estate, intellectual property, commercial contracts, insurance coverage and partnership disputes.
  • Eric J. Muñoz, a commercial litigator with extensive experience in hotel and hospitality litigation, real estate and commercial foreclosure litigation, intellectual property litigation, employment disputes, appellate matters, breach of contract, business and partnership disputes, transportation and logistics litigation, and antitrust compliance among trade associations.
  • Joseph R. Swee, who handles a range of contract, fiduciary duty, business tort and other commercial litigation disputes, represents owners of luxury hospitality properties in dealings and disputes with brand management companies, insurers and others, and counsels large companies in the financial services, and food and beverage industries on matters ranging from restrictive covenant to supplier disputes.
