Quarles & Brady Named a “Top 100 Group Firm” by the American Bar Association
MILWAUKEE, WIS. (July 30, 2012) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that the Firm has been named a “Top 100 Group Firm” by the American Bar Association (“ABA”). Honorees will be featured in the August issue of the ABA Journal.
The “Top 100 Group Firm” honorees are local lawyers and firms that support the ABA’s efforts to promote and protect the profession and practice of law at home and abroad. This year, the ABA with member support:
• Supported the ability of U.S. firms to establish offices overseas and to associate freely with foreign lawyers and law firms in several countries;
• Addressed the severe underfunding of the state court system, depletion of resources and the courts’ struggle to render their constitutional function while advocating for greater access to justice for countless Americans;
• Performed a thorough review of the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct and the U.S. system of lawyer regulation in the context of advances in technology and global legal practice developments and developed proposals for consideration by the House of Delegates during the ABA Annual Meeting;
• Achieving record attendance, including representation from all 50 states, at the annual ABA Day in Washington , where members met with members of Congress to advocate for increased funding for the Legal Services Corporation and other issues.
