The synthesized signal generator, model 1458, features high accuracy, spectral purity, wide frequency coverage, a built-in modulation signal generator and GPIB remote control function. It boasts 4 abundant modulation functions including amplitude modulation, frequency modulation, phase modulation and pulse modulation. On UHF receivers, the generator is able to measure selectivity, sensitivity, inter-nodulation distortion, AM rejection, AGC response, audio hum, noise and distortion and STAND ratio. Moreover, its step sweep and list sweep provide flexible digital sweep functions which provide fine control over output frequency and power.
