SAN DIEGO (August 21, 2007) – Attorney John J. McNutt has joined Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP’s real estate and environmental litigation practice group as an associate in the firm’s San Diego office.
In his practice, McNutt has assisted in the defense of several corporations and individuals under investigation by the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission. He has also represented a variety of entities in general business litigation cases.
“John’s expertise will add further depth to our exceptional real estate litigation practice group,” said Robert J. Bell, Luce Forward’s Managing Partner. “With his knowledge of federal legislation and regulatory processes, John will be able to provide a different perspective as we continue to strengthen and grow our real estate services for clients throughout California.”
McNutt was previously an associate attorney with Allen Matkins. In addition to being a member of the State Bar of California, McNutt is a member of the Bars in both New York and the District of Columbia.

McNutt was previously a legislative staff member on Capitol Hill. He earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California.
