SAN FRANCISCO, July 11, 2005— LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – On July 11, 2005, United States District Court Judge Martin J. Jenkins found Richard Hawkins, the former Chief Financial Officer of McKesson Corporation, not guilty on all counts of a federal indictment charging him with securities fraud.
The case arises out of McKesson’s acquisition of HBO & Company, a medical software company based in Atlanta, Georgia. The decision follows an 8-week trial before Judge Jenkins earlier this year.
“We have always known and believed that Mr. Hawkins is innocent of these charges. Being falsely accused has been a surreal experience for Mr. Hawkins and his family to endure. We are grateful that in the end justice was done and that Mr. Hawkins can get back to his life,” according to Mr. Brown and Ms. Haag.
