The Bahamian court hearing that will determine who gets custody of Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter, Dannielynn, has started the major father figures in court, including Howard K. Stern, Larry Birkhead and Virgie Arthur, Anna Nicole’s mother.
DNA experts are expected to testify today at some stage as the two men battle to prove who is father to Dannielynn. DNA testing could be ordered today with results available next week, although if Stern challenges the order to produce baby Dannielynn for testing, the paternity issue could drag on for as long as a month or more. Should he comply, testing could be completed quickly.
On Friday ABC reported that Birkhead emerged from a closed court hearing in the Bahamas, beaming, and gave a cryptic interview to a tabloid television show in which he claimed that “Tuesday is the day,” and that he expects April to be the greatest month of his life.
“What seems like [it has] taken months and months in California basically is going pretty quick here in the Bahamas,” Birkhead told Access Hollywood, apparently referring to his lengthy campaign to force a DNA paternity test.
