The Board of Trustees of the New Jersey State Bar Association selected Geoffrey M. Connor to receive its Legislative Recognition Award. Mr. Connor, a partner in the Financial Services and Bank Regulatory Groups of Reed Smith, received the award at a luncheon.
The award honors Mr. Connor’s efforts over the past several years with regard to banking matters on behalf of the Bar before the New Jersey Legislature.
Mr. Connor is currently Chair of the Bar Association’s Banking Law Section and previously served as Chair of the Banking Law Section’s Legislative Committee. At Reed Smith, he focuses his practice on depository and licensee regulatory and compliance matters. Prior to joining Reed Smith in 1994, Mr. Connor served as Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Banking under Governors Jim Florio and Christine Todd Whitman.
