Law.com has looked at some of the innovators who have ‘reengineered the law firm’ and developed new ways to serve their clients and generate change.

Among them are Sir Nigel Knowles, of DLA Piper, who developed his regional UK firm into a record-breaking world-beater.  Also in the list are Norton Rose’s Peter Martyr who developed a Swiss structure into global success.

Among the other innovators are Australia’s Andrew Grech who developed Slater & Gordon into the public company structure.

David Boies left the lucrative world of Cravaths to set up his own shop and in the process weaned himself off the billable hour.
