The urge to merge, as law blog AbovetheLaw puts it, has seen SNR Denton looking to put itself in a deal with Salans and Canadian firm Fraser Milner Casgrain. The merger would create a 2500 lawyer firm which would rival some of the BigLaw firms about.

SNR Denton is already the result of a three-way deal with Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal and UK’s Denton Wilde Sapte. SNR has around 1250 lawyers while Salans has 750 and FMC has 500.
