Tokyo – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Partner Atsushi Yamashita and counsel Daniel Hounslow and Angela Krantz from the Tokyo office of the international law firm Clifford Chance advised US private equity giant, Ripplewood Holdings Japan International, on a disposal by one of it’s portfolio companies in Japan.
Clifford Chance acted as sole legal adviser to Ripplewood on the sale by its Portfolio company, Columbia Music Entertainment, Inc., of all of the issued and outstanding stock in its Japanese subsidiary, Columbia Digital Media Inc., to PineRidge Partners Kabushiki Kaisha. This included the sale of certain real property located in Kawasaki, Japan, to Hara Kosan Kabushiki Kaisha, and the sale of the buildings on such property to Pine Yugen Kaisha. The deal was valued at about USD 55 million.
