The largest law firm in Hamilton is one credit claimed by Tompkins Wake, but its 100th centenary has also seen the firm building on the Waikato origins it enjoyed when founded by ‘Lance’ Tompkins and Cecil Wake in 1922.
Now sitting among the top 12 firms in the country, the firm enjoyed an evening with 230 of their closest friends and staff and the firm’s growth trajectory continues.
With 27 partners the firm has expanded its foot print with the absorption of Auckland-based Lowndes Law and has recently boosted its Auckland presence with new members.
Senior Auckland commercial lawyer Mark Lowndes joined the firm in 2020 along with Director Kerri Dewe, and Associate Reuben Payne who joined the Tompkins Wake’s Auckland office.
The firm has said that 94 people have joined the firm since 2020 – and 14 of those we have welcomed in the past month.
The firm is chaired by long-time partner Scott Ratuki.
